What is your default speed?

What if we each had an ideal pace for our lives?

A tempo or a beat that reflected the best possible speed for our life to unfold at any moment.

Would your essence pace be faster or slower than the way your life typically unfolds now?

I find that we often accept a certain default speed of life unconsciously.

Your default may have been set by calibrating yourself to what we think others need or expect.

What if you experimented with your speed this week in various ways to find out what pace is most delicious to you?

Here are a few areas that might be ripe for exploration:

  • how quickly you walk or talk

  • your morning and evening routines

  • the time you have for meals

  • the things that are urgent...or can wait

  • the # & length of meetings/activities in a day or week

  • the amount & length of travel

  • the size of your to do list

If you don't feel like you have a lot of control over the pace of your life - you aren't alone.

Start small.

Find the places you have a choice and discover the pace that makes your heart sing.
